Behavioural disorders in animals

A survey conducted that 42% of all dog owners and 47% of all cat owners described their pet’s behaviour as problematic at times. Some of these behavioural problems can be classified as normal if they are a reaction of the animal to a change of residence, separation, illness or other change. However, if the disturbances appear to occur randomly, as non-species-appropriate behaviour, they must be classified as behavioural problems that require closer examination and treatment.
